To complete a beautiful makeup look, eyelash curling is a must! They bring your whole look together and add a touch of femininity. It opens up your eyes and provides a look that’s awakened and refreshed. Normally the go-to way to curl your lashes would be to use an eyelash curler but what if you were in a situation where you didn’t have one?
Below are the best alternative ways to curl eyelashes when you find yourself without a lash curler. Even without eyelash extensions, you can achieve curly lashes that are naturally yours.
How To Curl Your Lashes Without An Eyelash Curler
1. Use Mascara
The easiest way to curl your lashes if you are without an eyelash curler is by just simply applying mascara. Mascaras are made to add length, definition, and volume to your lashes so using mascara is a foolproof way to achieve curled lashes. Just keep in mind to not use any mascaras that are too heavy, clumpy, or too wet as those formulas can weigh your lashes down causing straight lashes.
2. Use A Blue Tinted Eyelash Primer
Before you apply your mascara, using an eyelash primer makes all the difference. Usually, most people would opt for the white-colored primer before applying mascara, but next time try a blue-tinted primer! Because blue is a darker color, if you layer that with black mascara, your lashes will pop out more so they will look longer, more volumized, and curled.
3. Apply Mascara And Hold
Usually, when we apply mascara, we just quickly run it through our lashes several times and hope for the best outcome. While that may give you the desired look, it may not be giving all of its potential. Instead, after you apply your mascara, as soon as you are done running the mascara wand through your lashes, hold your lashes up with the wand gently for about 5-10 seconds. This trick helps so that your mascara dries and sets your lashes and keeps them in place curled.
4. It’s All About That Base
When you curl your lashes, you need to pay close attention to the base of your lashes. For instance, when you apply mascara, start all the way from the base of your lashes and roll the lashes upward with the mascara wand. Because you achieved to catch the entirety of your lashes, it gives your natural lashes a beautiful false-lash look
In the same regard, take a mascara painting tool, dip it into some of that mascara, and tightline your lashes beneath your lash line. This helps to hold your lashes in place and allows them to keep their curl even longer.
5. Use An Eyelash Serum
While this process takes longer than the rest and requires a lot of patience, it’s worth the wait. When you use an eyelash serum, it allows you to grow long lashes. As your lashes get longer, they start to slightly curl up making it look like you have false eyelashes on. Using a lash serum can take weeks up to months to see results but the end result and naturally long lashes that look like you’ve gotten a lash lift.
