Beauty Tips And Secrets
1. Lashes
A. Powder before mascara
If you haven’t tried this trick then you are in for a treat! There are amazing mascaras out there who do their job quite well on their own, however especially when a mascara is brand new, a lot of product can come out with the wand and when you apply it, there’s going to be some clumping going on which in turn, doesn’t make it natural. If you take a clean spoolie brush and lightly tap it in your favorite setting powder, apply it to your lashes and then apply the mascara on top, it get’s rid of most of the clumping and gives you beautiful fluttery lashes! Your lashes will look way more natural and it will enhance your natural look way better than any clumpy mascara will!
B. Paint on your bottom lash mascara
Ever use the mascara you used on your top lashes, on your bottom lashes? I’m pretty sure we all have. It’s a no brainer and is sometimes easiest when we’re in a pinch. However, if you want your bottom lashes to look best, take a small angled brush and dip it lightly into your mascara wand. Then use that angled brush and paint the mascara on your bottom lashes. This will give you a way more precise look and will allow you to catch every individual lash making it look more professionally done. Voilà!
2. Nails
A. Tea tree oil for stained or yellowed nails
If you are an avid lover of wearing nail polish and having your nails painted 24/7, you’ve probably run into the issue where eventually your nails start to have a sort of yellow undertone and look discolored. Especially dark nail polish can do this do your nails when removed. A trick to get rid of this is to apply tea tree oil every day to your nails and watch as the yellow color starts to fade away and return to normal.
B. Use a tiny brush to remove nail polish errors
I’m pretty sure we’ve all been there where we have painted our nails ourselves and our shaky hands painted part of our skin instead. You try to remove it using your nail or a q-tip but the problem is, the surface of those two things is too big to completely fix the error. Sure you may get some of it, but there’s still some imperfections. Fear not because there’s a solution for everything! Most of us have a small makeup like an angled brush or you can use any sturdy small brush. Take that brush and dip it in your nail polish remover and use it to clean any of your mistakes. The results are quicker and less messy!
3. Hair
A. Use oils for a slick back look
You’ve had your hair out and luscious for a few days and it’s time for a wash day but you need a hair style to hold you over until you can actually wash your hair. A great go-to is to do the slick back bun. Most people would just turn to hairspray or gel to hold down their hair and call it day, however, using an oil instead is way better! Oils like castor oil and avocado oil are fantastic for hair growth but when you use a good amount in your hair to slick it back, they really help to weight down the hair so you would rarely have to use any other product. Why not go for hair oil when it’s way for beneficial for your strands than hairspray or gel?
If you do need to use something else on top of the oils to assist with holding down your hair, use an alcohol free hairspray like this one!
B. Wrap your hair in a silk scarf for traveling on a plane
When we travel, traveling can do a number on our skin because of environmental changes or from the air on an airplane. However, it doesnt only affect our skin, but our hair just as much! The air on the airplane is so dry that it is going to leave your hair looking like a frizzy tangled mess by the time you land to your destination. The longer the flight the worse! Luckily, using a silk or satin scarf and tying it around your head will protect your hair from frizz and allow it to stay moisturized.
4. Body
A. User conditioner as shaving cream
There are currently so many popular shaving creams on the market and people are persuaded to buy them because it’s specifically called “shaving cream” it must be the best to use to shave your legs. Not all the time though! Granted, there are some shaving creams out there that have earned their popularity, but sometimes, they can be overpriced. Luckily, that’s where conditioner comes and saves the day! If conditioner works wonders on your hair, imagine what it can do as a shaving cream. When you shave with conditioner it allows for a smoother glide leaves your skin baby soft!
